Episode 469

Seems like lately I’ve wanted to start shows by helping you get your groove on. I’m trying not to picture you twirling and spinning around the living room, but I must say I’d be glad if you were. You take it easy on the pelvic movements there, Elvis. This ain’t that kind of place. Fair warning: I do wax a little rhapsodic for a couple minutes about a meaningful-to-me album at the end. You know there’s a “stop” button, right?

  1. Hi John,

Thanks, as always, for including my music in your podcast. Sending my
greetings from the currently soggy East Bay.

    Regards,

    Forrest

  2. Really enjoyable selection! Loved hearing your backstory on Wunjo. My first exposure to his music was his next album, Nothing is Lost, and Wunjo was by that time already legend due to its limited availability. It was almost 30 years before I finally heard it and it was worth the wait.

Giles Reaves, like Richard Burmer, is often overlooked and unappreciated by those who don’t know the deep roots of the genre.
