If you’ve been here before, you know that the rule is that the flow dictates the show. So this one starts off fun and funky with an infectious track but in short order turns into something drifting and just a little bit lazy. As Vonnegut said, so it goes.
Music can get a little weird at times–ever notice that? Well, you might this time around. But it all flows and lightens across time, so that’s good, right? If nothing else, you get to hear your host apologetically mangle someone’s language for the umpteenth time. So worldly. Enjoy.
The quest to clear out the older stuff in the Holding Tanks continues! (But only for a bit.) I’ve also got fresher stuff to offer–and watch out for that track with lyrics. Hey, it happens.
Even on my best days here I’m just making it up as I go, trying to find the way one piece rolls into the next to keep you immersed in the sound. So let’s do that again. Let’s see if I guessed correctly. Quick stop at the midway point to say hi.
The world’s gone wild over artificial intelligence! So why not join in? Come check out the first episode powered by AI.* I’m sure it will lead to 90 minutes of good stuff from the holding tanks. *Clearly, it’s a bit.
Well, that’s 14 years down…let’s celebrate turning 15 and largely unknown with an hour each of new stuff and tasty library cuts. And as always, thank you for being the reason (other than therapy!) that I keep doing this. Party hats on…

Settle in. I want to tell you a story….a mystery, really, about The Albums That Went Missing. Oh, it’ll mystify you and maybe bring a chill to your soul, but in the end it turns into 90 really good minutes of music. Ready to hear the tale?
From a gently dark start, we launch into long drifts and emerge in a lighter space. Then it’s off to the library where we just might encounter…one of those.
Contrary to the well-known internet error message, you’ve found the latest episode of the Hypnagogue Podcast! For your efforts, I’ll reward you with 90 minutes of the best ambient, electronic, and contemporary instrumental music. It’s all Holding Tanks today, and a great mix of styles. Enjoy.
Happy Leap Year Day! (Is that a thing?) From a very New Age kind of start (c’mon, we open with a Reiki thing) through pulsing funkiness to a quite quiet endpoint, this one’s pretty much what you’ve come to expect. (I hope that’s a good thing…)
