*Follow the link and search for “earman178.” The album is otherwise pretty unfindable. (If you’re a better internet sleuth than I, let me know with a better link!)
This one opens and closes with artists I’ve been listening to for a couple decades now. (We’re gettin’ old, boys…) In between, familiar faces and new-to-me names from the Holding Tanks direct the ride.
No stops on this one, and our voyage passes through sequenced sounds, shadowy spaces, and the outskirts of Jazzville. You know how it is around here…we go all over the place. Enjoy.
It’s a 50/50 ride this time as we split the voyage between the tanks and the library. And what usually comes out of the library? That’s right: for the first time in 2025 we get An Artist John Forgot! Have a listen. (And pardon the couple of Spotify links in the playlist if, like me, you don’t “do” that service. Sometimes a host’s gotta do what a host’s gotta do.)
*I know what I said. After recording, in trying to find a link for the album I learned that the artist and album names had been changed for various reasons. The music’s all the same. Carry on.
Fifteen hefty slices of aural goodness for your delight this time around, including an entry from our “How Did You End Up Here?” department. A quick glance at the playlist will probably give that one away. Enjoy.

Quite a few repeat guests on this episode, and it’s lovely to have them back! Plus, I treat one album like I’m including it for the first time–when I actually played it a scant four episodes ago. I’m all about attention to detail here. Cruise on, my friends.
You know, when I decided to change up the show scheduling, I didn’t think about how I’d have to come up with ways to tell you what you’re about to hear more often. Can I get away with just saying it’s really nice music this time? I mean…you know that, but I’ve got space to fill.
*I put this episode together before I got word of the passing of Richard Roberts, aka Zero Ohms, in November 2024. I found Richard’s music way back when in the mp3.com days and remained a fan until the end. His song “The Poetics of Space” struck me in a profound way when I first heard it and it always stayed with me. His album with Brannan Lane, Soundfall to the Infinite, was a place of much-needed solace during tough times. From his solo works to collaborations with artists like Craig Padilla and Numina, I always looked forward to getting new albums from Richard. Knowing that this was the last is difficult. I wish him well on his endless journey home.
So how are you liking this new schedule thing so far? Are you getting enough great music? Because here comes some more. Still all good stuff from the world-renowned Holding Tanks.
